Oh, and add in the tiny detail of Google often always changing the goal posts. I understand how hard it can feel to keep up.

Yet, as a small business, you understand that your website is still an important business tool but perhaps sometimes it feels too hard to keep on top of managing when you are already running your business!

But a website is a “tool” and when setup and managed correctly can be like a silent salesperson working hard in the background (without having to pay for a pension or sick pay!) who brings in the sales, consistently.

WEBSITE PERFORMANCE REVIEW

A done for you service where we will go and look under the hood of your website to benchmark where you are at and what you can do to improve its performance.

 

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

 

⚡️Connect the free audit tools (a bit of setup is required). Run the tools and output a report.

 

⚡️Look at the layout of your code from Google’s perspective. Identify any website errors that could be causing Google to not be able to crawl your website. Highlight any broken links, orphan pages (with no links) or duplicate content. Test the page speed and how the mobile version is working

 

⚡️Review the website from a user point of view. Work through the user journey and how this impacts your website goal. Understand where your traffic is coming from and provide recommendations.

 

⚡️Creating a report we will provide a list of quicker win fixes. And recommendations for bigger wins that may require further discussion. The benefit of this is it gives you the opportunity to review your website goal and set some new metrics. We are happy to work alongside your webmaster – we make peace not war!

Why do you charge for a website review?
Whilst there are FREE tools that run reports on websites there is still a human element that cannot be measured that way. So we will spend time reviewing your website to look at the bigger picture and how this aligns to your goal. Check out my FREE checklist as to what goes into a Website Review.
What information do you need for the review?
We need to be able to access your domain name so that we can attach some tools. So the domain name provider, username and login.
Will you work alongside my existing webmaster?
Absolutely! The idea of a review is that it is impartial and we are doing it with a fresh pair of eyes. We understand and empathise with your webmaster about the relationship between your website and the Google algorithm. As such depending on the arrangement you have with your webmaster regarding maintenance we would expect any website to have tweaks that need doing. Plus advising on content gaps and aligning this to your goal will be beneficial. We come in peace.
Is this review a one-off?
Ideally you should review your website multiple times a year. You can’t grow what you don’t measure remember! Things change and your website needs to keep up. But once the first review is done it should take less time going forward. Equally this is something we could teach you to do yourself.
Are there hidden costs?
Not at all! The review is a one-off piece of work with a report output at the end. This may require more consultation and work to be done to your site but these would be presented as new piece of work. If you just want the review that is fine too.
What happens after the review?
It is likely there will be recommendations that require further discussion. Ideally we would love to be a part of that discussion. But if you prefer to work with your webmaster to implement these that is fine from our perspective.
